    President's Message

Our fourth annual Fish Fry was a great success. We ended up raising over $500.00 to donate to charity. A BIG thank you goes to all the members who helped make this fundraiser so successful-from the planning, to the decorating, reservations, cooking, serving and cleanup.

Please keep up to date with our activities by reading your newsletter, website and emails. We are a very busy group and I want to stress that in order to do all the good throughout the year, and to keep a proper perspective, we must stay focused on our faith and be Christ to each other and those we minister to.

If you interested or know of someone interested in joining us: we meet monthly September through June on the second Sunday of the month. We gather at 5:30pm in the clubroom and have a delicious meal along with our Brother Knights. Then our meeting begins at 6:30pm (the Knights meet at the same time separately). Our membership is open to "all wives, mothers, daughters, and widows of the Knights of Columbus and to any Christian woman who wishes to participate" (taken from bylaws). Our dues are $25.00 annually plus an optional $3.65 for PKDL. This is a Penny a Knight per Day per Lady and goes towards vocations.  Please feel free to contact me at 379-6366 or mrs12paws@verizon.net

May God bless you………..Marty Prebish, President

Ladies Auxiliary Member of the Month for February 2010

Pat McHugh

This lady is one of our newer members. When she first joined the Ladies Auxiliary, I’m not sure what she thought of all of us, as she was very soft-spoken and quiet. Well, all that has changed. As she has gotten to know us better, she has kept her sweet soft-spoken personality, but is more comfortable with our group. She has really become involved as one of our group’s faithful “worker bees”. If we are having an event such as the Tag/Bake Sale or Light Up For Christ event, her name is immediately on the sign up sheet. And when she attends any function, she is always pitching right in to help wherever needed. At this year’s Light Up For Christ event, she was a great help in the clean up effort after the festivities. When we came together to decorate the Center for Christmas, she came with her granddaughter Kirsten and again pitched right in and, along with the others, did a fine job decorating the tree in our clubroom. By the way, I think we may have a future Ladies Auxiliary member in Kirsten. She told her Grandmother she likes to be included in our events!

She and her husband also attend our dances and group events (even though he is member of another council-are you sure you don’t want to join us Mike?)

In case you have not already guessed whom I am talking about, I am happy to say it is Pat McHugh. Pat, we are so glad to have you as an important part of our group! I am pleased to name you Ladies Auxiliary Member of the Month for February!
