Several members of the Council together with some members of a church at Fort Lee are planning a one day outing on Wednesday, August 13, to the Nationals stadium in DC to attend a Nationals/Mets baseball game. If anyone has an interest in attending, tickets will be $35 each and we will travel in car pools, sharing the cost of fuel. Please call Rick Brennan Tel 748-3706 for further details and to arrange for tickets and transport."

REQUEST FOR HELP: We have a Brother Knight in need of assistance. One of our members has encountered complications related to his living accommodations. As a result, he may not have a place to live after July 31. He is seeking an opportunity to rent a room in the home of a Brother Knight for a modest cost and for a limited time until he is able to resolve his situation. Anyone in the Council who might be able to assist our Brother is asked to contact GK Bob Prebish (379-6366), PGK Rick Brennan (748-3706) or Father Leo (288-6245). In the spirit of true fraternity, perhaps we can assist our Brother Knight.

Membership Drive: Ireton Council 6189 is actively seeking new members. The Knights comprise a world-wide Order of Catholic men whose primary principal is Charity. Much of the Order’s current focus is upon mobilizing support for our priests among the larger Catholic community. The extraordinary pastoral demands upon the priesthood and the concomitant affect that has upon their capacity to minister must be of concern to us all. The Knights are committed whenever and however we can to serve our priests, their parishes, and their communities, in promoting the principal of Charity, in encouraging vocations, and in pursuing justice for God’s neediest children.
