Anthony “Tony” Llongo passed away on Friday, July 22, 2011.  He was a charter member of the Bishop Peter L. Ireton Council 6189.  Tony was 84 years old.   He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosa Giallonardi and Vincent Longo; and his wife of 45 years, Mary Adams Longo. He is survived by his three children, Christina Walters (Robert) their children, Katie and Colleen; John Longo (Cindy), their children, Jennifer, Stacy and Danielle; Mark Longo (Beth) and their child, Megan; and two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Jocelyn. Anthony served in the U.S. Navy and graduated from the University of Richmond, class of 1950. He retired as a chemist from Experiment Incorporated and The American Tobacco Co. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, 4400 Beulah Rd. Interment was at Dale Memorial Park with military honors. © Council 6189, Knights of Columbusr 2011 Death of a Knight Prayers are Needed GK Bruce Alt and his wife Chris  lost Chris’ mother Laura Cocek, age 90.  She passed away, August 3, 2011. Yesterday, she suffered a heart attack and succumbed this morning.  She had elected to be cremated.
